The You-est You® Podcast

Gratitude doesn't only make you feel good, it can change the state of your health! Check out Forbe's article on the 7 Scientifically Proven Benefits of Gratitude to learn how being thankful can help decrease the stress response and depression, increase sleep and your positive mood and help you to feel more connected to your life.

In this solo episode, I share a new way to do gratitude. As you know by now, I'm a big believer that everything we want to see in the world; peace, love, freedom, ease, and connection, has to start first from within. In this show, I share some of my strategies and ways to cultivate gratitude, with a bit of a twist. The focus is on YOU first and then sharing it outward.

What you appreciate, appreciates.

Let's start with true self-appreciation, seeing the divinity in each of us, and from there, appreciate your loved ones, those who are harder to adore, the issues that have caused you to grow, and ideally, all beings.

3 Things We Learned From This Episode

  • Spend time first thing every morning finding what you can authentically appreciation about YOU and anything you are grateful for as it pertains to you and your life. Try and capture at least 3 - 5 things and focus on them throughout the day.
  • Spot it in others and share with them. Look for the qualities, talents, gifts, and values you see in yourself, in others around you and share it with them! For example, let them authentically know that you appreciate their kindness, generosity and inner light.
  • End your day with gratitude; appreciating and focusing on any win(s) for the day or something you can celebrate about you. Studies show that what you think about before bed can affect how you feel when you awaken.
